Samoa Weddings Guide

Samoa weddings need a little time to plan. Notice of intended marriage must be posted in Samoa for 10-days via the Deputy Registrar in Apia. This can be pre-empted before your arrival by obtaining a marriage form from Margaret via fax number (685) 21050. There is a fee of ST$13.20, and once the marriage license is obtained, it is valid for 3 months only. Forms to bring with you include:

passport
certified copies of your birth certificate
certified copy of absolute decree or death certificate if relevant

Once a license is obtained, you are free to marry in church (Catholic Priests may insist on formal instructions) or on the beach. Ask your resort to co-ordinate this for you.
