May 2010 - Pasekika Inn
I recently stayed at this budget motel which is located in the heart of Apia Town. It's a great location, about a minute walk from Aggie Grey's Hotel, and about five minutes walk along along the harbourfront to downtown Apia and nightlife. The rooms though were really awful - bedsheets and towels were thouroughly worn, there was only one pillow, there was dust in every corner of the room, and the mosquito screen over the windows was torn. Moreover, when I checked in, the room rate I was quoted did not include tax nor credit card fees, so the original quote of ST$150 ended up over ST$200. This made the hotel very overpriced. The complimentary breakfast consisted of little more than toast, butter and jam (although the butter was limited), a few pieces of fruit (coconut and pawpaw), and very weak coffee which was reluctantly made alittle stronger on complaint. Poor value for what originally seemed a good choice to stay.
